A Drawing A Day ~ Adrian Mills
I am really enjoying my daily dose of art from Adrian Mills, an illustrator who is undertaking a personal challenge to produce a drawing a day and share them on this site. Having undertaken One A day Challenges in the past in the mediums of a sky photo a day and A crafted item A day, I know the commitment needed.

Claire's Accessories ~ More Shame On You
You may remember that back in January 2011 that I wrote this article about the accessories chain Claire's and the blatant copying of a UK designers work.
This morning it was brought to my attention that they have indeed repeated the copying by using the work of another talented UK designer Tatty Devine who specialises in bold perspex designs.

Introducing ~ The New Look Beads By Design
As I have previously blogged, I have been working on my web site. I have now moved from my original hosts who I had been with since 2005. I wanted more flexibility and to combine my three shops Beads By Design. Crystal Velvet weddings and Ra Ra Bazaar so that they could all be promoted from under one roof.
It's taken a lot of time and patience and I am now happy with the finished results. (obviously tweeking will continue). Please take a look and leave any feedback negative or positive etc.

If I had Known
Hindsight is a great thing. Unfortunately, it doesn't kick in until after the event, and by then it is too late.
I set up my business thinking I knew the direction it would go, but I was short sighted and did not anticipate what would happen and how it would all develop.
As a result of this, I am currently having to readdress where I am and how I can best work things. I am putting together a new web site that enables me to have everything under one roof. I am hoping that by the end of next week, I will be able to unveil the new combination site. (providing I can make my mind up about the colour scheme!) At the moment I am doing the tedious stuff!
Watch this space.

Of course, now a days I'd probably not give them shelf room, but my daughter has just gone "awww cute".

Laura comes from Anlaby in the East Riding Of Yorkshire and started up her business making cards in September 2011. She has a full range of occassion cards, but it was her Christian sentiment cards that caught my eye.
Each card is handmade.
The insides are blank for you to offer your own greeting and words of encouragement.

A Gift From Canada
A few weeks ago I won a twitter event run by Little Red Door. I'd almost forgotten about it when a parcel dropped through the door yesterday. It had come all the way from Canada and contained this lovely little ceramic hanger. The disc has the word JOY on it and I'm not sure if it's just chance, or if some investigating had been done, but JOY is one of my favourite words and so the gift is just perfect!
Thank you so much.
If you would like to take a look at the work of The little red door, you can take a look at her Etsy shop or her Twitter profile
